This tutorial shows how I go about finding a comprehensive list of theme words and phrases.  During this process, I find 114 good theme words, but use the power of Web Content Studio to whittle this number down to the very best 35.  Once you have your list of theme words, I’ll show you how to quickly check that they really are the best ones for your article.

In this video I’ll show you how I re-wrote the 200+ word homepage of my Irritable Bowel Syndrome site into an 1100+ word highly themed, informative article on the subject of irritable bowel, its symptoms and special diets, etc to control IBS.

Article Writing Guides is a feature THAT WILL BE introduced into version 1.0.0.96.  Simply put, an article writing guide is a set of instructions for writing a particular type of article.  The idea for article guides was inspired by a set of seven “templates” included in John (XFactor)’s “The Authority Site Adsense Guide”.  These templates are the templates that John gives his writers to guide them as they write content for him.

Since people tell me they have a lot of problems coming up with ideas or formats for articles, I thought it would  be really nice if people could create their own article writing guides and share them with other people. That is my intention for this feature of Web Content Studio.

To get the ball rolling, John has kindly shared his seven templates that are included in his Adsense guide with users of Web Content Studio.  At the moment you have to install the manually, so I will give you instructions below. First things first, you need to download them.

Download John’s Article Writing Guides

if you are using Web Content Studio version 1.0.0.98 or later, you will see the article “ Templates and Guides” button in the main toolbar of the article editor screen:

Clicking on the right side of this button brings down a menu that gives you access to the old “Article Templates” and the new “Article Writing Guides” feature:

When you first open this window, there won’t be any guides in the list on the left.  Click on the button to “Open Guide Folder in Windows Explorer” and that will open Windows Explorer at the location where the templates need to be copied. Unzip the download into this folder.

You’ll then need to restart Web Content Studio and the list of seven article writing guide will now appear.  Clicking on any of the guides on the left will open it in the right hand side:

Once open you can collapse the guide list using the button top left and leave the guide open a second window while you write your article (click to enlarge this image):

You can now easily write your article as you follow the guide.

Alternatively, you can copy the entire guide into the article editor, though be aware that anything in the editor will be replaced.  Some people prefer to work this way, and just overwrite the guide as they “build” their article.

All article writing guides are written in plain HTML.  This gives them enormous flexibility so the article writing guide feature may well replace the original article templates feature In a future edition of web content studio.
